Thank you for the time and trouble to write your weekly notes Rebel. In particular, Watkin Jones. I came across PEBB this week by accident, looked into it, was surprised how low the valuation was , picked up a few for 33.5. appears to have plenty of scope for re rating / bid target. Will be an interesting company to follow.
I had looked at it but I wasn't that keen to have another holding, even if it looked very cheap. But going XD for nearly 5% yield a week or two ago and that bowly looking bottom was too much to ignore. I haven't had enough time to research in-depth so bought a starter amount and will dig a bit more,
WJG reaction was disappointing, and costly but I think it's part induced by new government planning rules which are delaying the system and so they are guiding more cautiously.
Thanks Rebel - always look forward to the weekly update.
The business I used to work for used to supply Brand Addition - part of PEBB, just like we used to supply WH Smith, who always said their travel business was far more profitable than the retail side, which is why I took a stake in WHSmith a few weeks back after they ditched the retail side.
Why is it they always say sell in May when May 24 was a fabulous month and May this year has been the best month by far this year?
Just a mention that if you are feeling good about investing in small to mid caps then the place to be next week is at the Mello2025 event in Chiswick, west London on Tuesday and Wednesday.
There will be 52 companies to meet and watch presentations with Q&A and you can talk to most of the management teams privately on their stands too.
There are lots of excellent keynote speakers and interviews with leading investors…Lord Lee, Christopher Mills and Ben Rogoff and many more.
If you have never been to a Mello before you are welcome to email me (David @ Melloevents.com) no spaces and I will give you a free ticket for the day of your choice.
If you want a two day ticket then please take advantage of Richard’s Rebel offer using the code M25Rebel50 and it will be half price for one or two days at the event.
Here is the link and the two day programme is available to view
I know you don't love Showman, but ULTP is too good of a bowl to ignore! Freight rates and Pound Renminbi rate is also going to really help profits next year. 75p share price 12.4p forecast for the year starting in July 13.5p after forecast and they were doing 15.1p in 2023. Look at their European revenues its like Warpaint's consistent growth the last few years> its normally at 150p to 200p stock. It has been doing buybacks today is has 87.7mln shares compared to 89.5m in January 2022
I'd love to like them Harry but I have seen these disappoint so much. I want to see what the board actually deliver with Showman still in the background. There's a lot of bargains out there, I can afford to be selective. I will see what they deliver though and try to look at them objectively.
I wrote a couple of books years ago about tropical fish. The opening sentence I typed "Keeping an aquarium is no more difficult than cleaning out a goldfish bowel" The commissioning editor laughed his head off at that.

Anyway the turnaround continues me hopes!
Sell in May is right 50% of the time Stephen :-)
😀 it’s amazing just how a good month can make you feel a whole lot better about what you’re doing!
yep, just getting the odd carrot rather than a stick makes all the difference.

Great thanks Richard will have a look at Pebble
No problem.
Thanks Richard, hope the internal investigation went well :-) Do you have a bowly bottom?
Just a bowely bottom! :-)

That's dyslexia for ya!
