their H1 end is June 30. I think/hope they would want to get it sorted by then for a clean H2 if they could.

We will see.

Hi Stephen

Yes, having grown the portfolio 27% year to date, it wasn't exactly the easiest of times with the FTSE 250 up just 5% as was the FTSE Small Cap Index. I expect to beat the 250 by 100%, 400 is a record for me, but then I have restricted my holdings more.

When punters see shares getting away they get FOMO. Most don't do research, they just follow the momentum. If you're in stocks that can one bag then when they come out with good news they have the potential that excites the market imo. and punters chase that. I'm now hoping to do better than 27% again in the next 3-4 months, all being well and especially if there's a post election relief rally.

Of course if the pot is already 27% higher than Jan, that 27% is more like 34% on the starting sum in Jan, with compounding

Richard

Excellent stuff as always RT, just on FCH, do you think we'll see an announcement about the US business in June or July? Or a trading update, possibly? On the March call, I got the impression they were close to agreeing a deal but that could be me reading too much into it!

Another really insightful read after my best ever month - so many thanks.

The bit about buying on the way up, rather than all in earlier, which delays the one "bagability" is certainly right on the money with me and CMCX etc. I cannot complain with CMCX showing a 78% overall gain in 5 months. It's hard I guess to commit a full holding from the outset.

Quick question on your thoughts about how much you think the portfolio can increase over the next 5 months? With 27% growth since 1/1/24 and mostly in the last 3 months, do you think it could increase by say 33% to 50% by end October? Obviously nothing is guaranteed and assuming no huge world events. It seems the growth rate could steadily increase as FOMO sets in? It just seems we are only just getting started!
