Worth mentioning that LIO [I hold] has an eye watering dividend. Sustainable? I've no idea, above my pay grade. I do think the SP has more or less bottomed though and the GAM takeover fiasco was also put out of its misery in this calendar year. Roll on 2024...

Can't give you the lot as I'm still increasing positions in smaller new stuff but WOSG, MKS, RR. AVON, CARD, OTB are the top 6

Yes, I forgot to mention the divis on both LIO and ECEL, circa 12% and 5.5% respectively. Interesting ECEL clipped the interim divi because they thought they might not see the normal autumn pick up - if they have seen the uptick then perhaps they will revise their decision going fwd or add it back to the final divi? LIO divi is a monster, if they maintain that the shares will fly, I'd say a 50% cut at least is priced in imo

Thank you Nicholas. Some greatly under estimated and under valued stocks out there - I think after a 2.5 year bear market the chances of a bumper year in 2024 are very good.

ECEL has a great divi, I should have mentioned the divi. It has been clipped a bit but still big. I think the co reduced it slightly as they were not confident of getting the autumn seasonal bounce that they get each year, according to investormeetcompany presentation. If Epwin have had a decent last Q as they said then perhaps a pleasant surprise in store at the next update, perhaps the divi will be kept up a bit. It's 5.5% even after the clip still.

Thank you once again for your excellent weekend review. Particularly relevant for me this week as I hold HWDN and BDEV. I also started building a position in ECEL about 3 months ago, looks promising and a cracking yield to boot. I think it was one of Paul Scott’s tips for 2023. Thanks for mentioning LIO, will take a look. Just wanted to say that my wife and I were in our local Card Factory in Louth last Saturday. I know it was only 2 weeks to Christmas but it was absolutely packed!! Went over the road to the WH Smith’s to compare and there was just 1 person in the card section. Have a wonderful Christmas!

Another great weekend review Cockney, thanks for sharing your thoughts. It certainly feels as if investor mindset is turning positive & some recent moves suggest FOMO is playing its part. All the best for Christmas 🎄 Enjoy that M & S Turkey 🦃
