Yes as the year goes it has been pretty decent and the last few weeks have been good. CRL has started firming. I think there are savings still to kick in in H2 still and the fact they reinstated the divi suggests they are confident.
Can never be certain but the market feels a bit more confident, a rate cut this coming week would help.

CAR cab be volatile but I see William Black seems to have been buying here. I m holding, I know these can be very volatile. When the shares rally they ten do get chased up fast in my opinion so it works both ways.
Very interesting interview with Paul Hill on Vox last week and many thanks for another year's worth of Substack. I'm currently almost 20% up for the calendar year so not quite at your 30% :). Certainly a better return than the banks and the last few months have been more difficult.
I've been nervous about CRL because they need to grow the top line as well as cut costs, but the CEO certainly seems to know her onions.
